Father’s Day Pennies

My father is notoriously difficult to shop for.  This past Father’s Day, I wanted to give him something meaningful to remind him of his three children.

Step 1:
Secure a penny for each birth year.  (In this case, 1981, 1984, and 1987.)

Step 2:
Submerge pennies in mixture of vinegar and salt.
Allow pennies to sit for several minutes.
Remove pennies and rub with baking soda.

Step 3:
Carefully drill holes in pennies using Dremel or small drill.
